Hālau Hula Ka Pi'o O Ke Ānuenue is a Hawaiian Cultural Dance School based in Ashland, Oregon with roots on Hawai’i island. Under the guidance and direction of Kumu Hula Andrea Luchese, our mission is to perpetuate the spirit and tradition of hula through classes, workshops, and other educational programs for all ages and levels, as well as through performance events for our community. Our intention is to inspire, empower, and elevate through sharing the sacredness of Hawaiian hula and chant.

The mission of our non-profit Kapi'oānuenue is to actively participate in the promotion, perpetuation, and preservation of the wisdom and knowledge of the Hawaiian culture and its traditional practices.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced hula dancer we can help you develop and take your hula journey to the next level. Kumu Andrea’s encouraging and inclusive teaching style is accessible to people of all ages, backgrounds, and movement abilities.

Events

We produce hula and Hawaiian music events in our community and participate in events and hula competitions in Hawai'i. We also offer workshops and retreats in Hawaiian cultural practices. Our dancers are available to dance at your public or private event.

Don't live in southern Oregon? Our online hula classes are designed to give you a personalized experience with teachers from our virtual studios. Hula classes are offered for all levels, as well as courses on applying Hawaiian cultural principles in everyday life.
